This is a new style of cycling event – our Bellions are a mixture between an Audax and a Sportive –with modern technology to lessen the need for event numbers, signage markers, the number of marshals, timekeeping, mass starts and feed stations – using GPX, Strava and local facilities on the route instead.
The Beast is our longest and most challenging event of 2022 and even though some of the climbs are steep and long, they are all conquerable and super rewarding.
Travel to Lancaster and use your new gained summer fitness to attempt our annual long Lake District sportive – 108 miles of beautiful scenery on your ride – out of the way lanes, incredible views, challenging passes, lake perimeters, forest roads and seaside proms. - There will be “social start” between 09.30 and 10.00 for 60 + milers and 07.30 and 08.00 on 100+ milers
- GPX of the 2022 route and full route details, hazards, cafes, shops, pubs, toilets etc will be e mailed to entrants the week before
- Rides will be recorded by riders using the Strava app on their mobile phones
- Emergency recovery on event day will be given by several broom wagons around the route
- Souvenir medals and merchandise will be available as optional extras when booking online, and will also be posted to finishers
