The Brompton C Line Electric Folding Bike 2022 model is like all conventional Bromptons but with an electric motor for assistance. The frame is solidly built with strong steel tubes and the folding system is the most swish and efficient around. Simply pull the clip between the rear frame triangle and seat post, swing the rear wheel under the frame. Then unscrew the top-tube clamp and fold the bike in half before undoing the stem clamp to fold the handlebars down against the front wheel. Slide the seat tube down to lock.
When folded up the Brompton Electric is just as compact as its non electric siblings and will fit into most car boots or corner of the office. The main difference between the electric / non electric versions is the extra weight added by the motor and battery. The electric Bromton weighs 13.7kg without the battery and 16.6kg with the battery mounted. The non electric Brompton starts at 11.1kg.
The battery and its charger are in the bag mounted on the front stem. There’s no display on the handlebars, but battery level is indicated by LEDs built into the panel at the top of the battery.

For tall riders a telescopic seatpost is available at extra charge. Seat post bung fitted stopping the seatpost clunking & damaging the surface when lowered.
Mudguards: Front and rear mudguards covering all weather riding. Comes with the new 2022 mudguard stays for clearance.
Lighting / reflectors: Front and rear lights powered by the battery. Front light is a Busch and Müller 30 lumens.
