The First Electric Bike Without Pedals Is Launched In Alicante Spain
Electric Mobility Company based in Alicante Spain has released the XKUTY One, the first electric bike without pedals in the world. It is a hybrid between a bicycle and a scooter both, in design and performance.
XKUTY One is designed under the Fully Assisted Bike technology. The bicycle integrates a HUB engine in the wheel itself, and in this way eliminates the need for chains, pedals, gas or oil. This solves three problems for the cities, these being noise pollution, air pollution and dirt.
It also complies with the principle of a permanent search for a more natural and comfortable position for the rider. His angled and invert ed seat facilitates a comfy position for people of varying heights.
For performance, the bicycle is a good lightweight machine, weighing under 45 kg, that is less than a moped, ensuring easily move with it. The bike takes two hours to recharge the battery using any power outlet, and this gives it a range of around 50 kilometers.
The launch event brought together over a 130 people between authorities, possible investors and distributors.
The company behind the project was formed by a group of former students of a master for executives held in a Business School of Alicante. A classroom project developed during this master spawned an independent company which decided to organize itself and get the vehicle project into action.
The company is accepting orders under the website www.xkuty.com
