Uttoxeter Cycling Club is a cycling club in Uttoxeter, Staffordshire.
The short group is for cyclists who want social rides. The distances vary with the selected route and terrain, usually between 30 - 45 miles. Our average speeds are 14.5 to 16 mph.
The medium group is for cyclists who want to push themselves and also have social interaction. The distances vary because of the route and terrain, but between 45 - 57 miles. The pace is usually governed by the slowest rider. Our average speeds are 16.5 to 18 mph.
The Long route group routes are 50 miles to 100 miles and sometimes get competitive. Tuesday night training rides in can be a tough mid-week workout. Our cyclist race in a variety of disciplines ranging from cyclo-cross, road, criteriums, track, time trials, sportives and hill climbs.
On the second Sunday in each month we do a café ride, all members can take part in this social ride. It is a one cafe and cycling on roads. The cycle ride is up to 40 miles. Remember to bring a bike lock and some money!
