The Castelli Sanremo 4.1 Cycling Speed Suit has comfort together with aero performance, is very practical and functionality for road use. The original Castelli speed suits in 2011 redefined how professional riders dressed. The Castelli Sanremo 4.1 Speed Suit now has 10 years more development.
It is aero maximised for speeds ranging from 30 to 55kmph. This is due to CFD-based seaming and wind tunnel fabric tests. The shoulders are designed so air flow is maximised. Velocity Rev2 fabric on the front means air glides off the suit. The elbow-length cut design gives even slippier design. The 2 back pockets are slim design which helps aerodynamics but does not compromise ease of use during racing.
Comfort is parramount for the Castelli Sanremo 4.1 Cycling Speed Suit. The body fabrics will keep riders drier and cooler than normal Lycra and a 3D mesh back helps any heat to be released.
The bottom of the suit is based around Castelli’s pro issue Free Aero Race 4 Shorts. The short section has Castelli’s signature ‘Doppio V’ build. This is different to standard shorts that use one seam down the front, the Doppio V design has 2 seams which hold the body keeping everything comfy. Vortex dimpled fabric on the thigh area brings an aero advantage while Forza fabric on the inner legs gives the best fit and the Progetto X2 Air Seamless seat pad is perfect for comfort.
The Sanremo 4.1 has dyed fabrics, unlike the pro issue which uses sublimated printing. This gives a richer and deeper finis.
